At Scherer Chevrolet Buick GMC we’re looking for a talented individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager (BDM). In this role, you’ll be tasked with building and developing relationships with our current customer base, as well as dealing with incoming leads and prospecting for new clients.
A detail-oriented position, the BDM will excel at juggling multiple client requests in a pleasant and professional manner, with the utmost speed and care. The primary role of the BDM is to build and retain business through customer interaction and support. Whether online, on the phone, or in the showroom, the Business Development Manager will be a champion for the dealership, providing top-notch client care and support.
- Handle incoming e-mail leads quickly and accurately
- Make an average of 80 out bound calls per shift.
- Set sales appointments for current sales staff.
- Prospect for new business using dealership database
- Interact with dealership visitors, enhancing their visit in any way
A Successful Business Development Manager will have:
- Exceptional telephone manner (Call Center experience an asset)
- Strong grammar and writing ability
- Advanced relationship-building skills
- Ability to respond to customers with courtesy, knowledge, personality and speed
- A valid driver’s license required

Exciting Automotive Sales opportunity with uncapped earning potential
At Scherer Chevrolet Buick GMC a successful Sales Associate is able to make over 100K a year! You don’t need to be a car guru to succeed, but it would be an advantage. You don’t need previous sales experience, but it helps. And you don’t have to be a sales superstar already, we can help make you one. What you do need, is the drive to be successful!
Working in a fast-paced environment, a Sales Associate will be responsible for taking a Scherer Chevrolet Buick GMC customer through the exciting process of purchasing a vehicle. This will include prospecting, follow up, cold calling, meet and greet, vehicle selection & demonstration, test drives and presenting price.
To be successful in this position a candidate should:
- Not be afraid to take risks, when appropriate
- Be goal and results oriented
- Have an outgoing attitude with friendly personality
- Be able to find common ground with anyone
- Have excellent phone skills
- Ability to work 50+ hours/week, including day, evening, and Saturday shifts
- Retail sales experience would be an asset, but not required
