Heart disease is a leading cause of death, hospitalization, and long term care in Canada.

As our aging population converges with a rapidly expanding base, the abilities of our premier health care institutes to perform lifesaving procedures are in jeopardy.

St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre currently operates two cardiac catheterization labs, with state-of-the-art equipment for diagnostic testing and coronary artery intervention. Running at peak performance, this essential lifesaving equipment is now unable to meet the growing cardiac patient volume of our region. Putting the lives of thousands at risk!

As a significant contributor in the fight to bring a 3rd Cardiac Catheterization Suite to the St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre, Scherer Chevrolet Buick GMC has partnered with the St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation to help fill this dire need.


Our goal: To help raise $2.8 million by 2021 and bring a 3rd Cardiac Catheterization Suite to the St. Mary’s Regional Cardiac Care Centre.

Financial contributions from donors like you are essential to healthcare in Ontario. As with all hospitals, 100% of the cost of the equipment must be covered by community donations.
